Durban City FC will be looking to return to winning ways when they travel to the Danie Craven Stadium on Wednesday for their Betway Premiership encounter against Stellenbosch FC.

The Citizens, currently positioned fifth on the league table with 11 points from seven matches, are seeking to regroup following their recent outing against Mamelodi Sundowns. The team returned to Durban before heading to the Western Cape for this midweek fixture.
The trip to Stellenbosch represents an exciting challenge as The Citizens face a side known for being difficult to break down at home.
The hosts will be looking to bounce back from their own recent setback, having suffered a 1-0 defeat to Richards Bay in their last outing.
The match will demand a focused and resilient performance from Gavin Hunt’s men as they look to navigate a busy fixture schedule successfully.

Durban City FC midfielder Thabo Nodada emphasized the importance of executing their game plan effectively.
“On the pitch, we have to get better at the things we are already doing. The foundation is there. We are creating the chances, which is the first and most important step,” Nodada said.
“The next thing for us now is to be more clinical and finish them. At the same time, we have to make sure we are solid and not allowing the other team to score more than us. It’s about converting at one end and being tougher to break down at the other,” Nodada added.
Stellenbosch may be going through a tricky period but Nodada warns that it will not be easy in the Cape Winelands.
“We know Stellenbosch is a stubborn side, a hard-running team. They make it difficult for you. It should be a nice game, a proper challenge, and one we are ready for.”
