Durban City FC return to Betway Premiership action on Sunday afternoon when the Citizens travel to Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium to face Milford FC in a KwaZuluNatal showdown, with kick-off scheduled for 15h00.
The Citizens will be looking to respond after Thursday night’s 2–0 defeat to Orlando Pirates and return to winning ways when they face Milford on Sunday.
City currently have six points from six matches and sit 11th on the Betway Premiership table as they look to climb the standings and add to their points tally.
The last time the two sides met, City came away with a 2–1 victory in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at Chatsworth Stadium. Radebe gave Milford the lead before second-half goals from Maseko and Mokoena turned the result in City’s favour, and the Citizens will be looking to get the same result when the two sides meet again on Sunday.
Kyle Jurgens says the Citizens have prepared well during the week and are ready for the challenge.
“We have prepared very well for the match. We know it’s going to be another important game for us, and everyone is ready for the challenge. We will be looking to give it our all and make sure we put in a good performance for the team and the supporters,” said Jurgens.
The Citizens will now look to put that preparation into action when they take on Milford at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Sunday.
