Head Coach Gavin Hunt praised the mentality his team showed to overturn a halftime deficit, highlighting the spirit that will be crucial in the cup fixture ahead.
“I thought we played with good energy, good attitude. Tenacity was good,” Hunt said.
“Once we got the equalizer, the match opened up for us… Coming back like that from 1-0 to 2-1, it was a magnificent effort and togetherness from the team, and that was important.”
While pleased with the three points, Hunt was quick to redirect attention, embodying his steady philosophy.
“I will not be too excited when we win, and I will not be too low when we lose,” he said.
That next game is a swift turnaround against Polokwane City, a side Hunt knows will present a familiar physical test having played to a goalless draw against them in the league away from home.
“They are a difficult side, they have a strong, strong physical side… so yes, we’ll have to be ready.”
