Durban City FC can confirm that Technical Director Ernst Middendorp has concluded his short-term contract with the club, fulfilling the mandate for which he was engaged.
Middendorp joined the club at the start of the current season, tasked with a specific role to stabilise and strengthen the club’s technical structures.
Chairman Farook Kadodia praised Middendorp’s contribution, stating, “We brought Ernst in with a clear, short-term objective to bring stability and expertise to our football structures during a period of transition. He has fulfilled that mandate with professionalism and integrity, and we thank him for his valuable service. We part on excellent terms and wish him the very best for the future.”
The existing technical and administrative team will continue to oversee football operations at the club.
This transition comes at a time of positive momentum for the club. Durban City FC currently occupies 4th position in the Betway Premiership and has secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Carling Knockout, marking a strong start to the campaign.
“The foundation of the club is strong, and this change in no way hinders our progress or our ambitions,” added Kadodia.
“Our full focus is on supporting the team and management as we build on our excellent start to the season. The future is bright for Durban City FC.”
