Durban, South Africa – Durban City Football Club had the honour of welcoming the Honourable MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture in KwaZulu-Natal, Mr Mntomuhle Khawula, and his delegation today, as they visited the team to show their support ahead of the Nedbank Cup Final.
The Honourable MEC described the occasion as “a huge milestone for the province,” recognising the significance of the club’s progression to the final and the pride it has brought to KwaZulu-Natal. “This is a huge milestone for the province. Durban City FC has carried the hopes of KwaZulu-Natal with pride, and we are fully behind the team as they prepare for this historic occasion,” said the Honourable MEC.
In celebration of his birthday, the Club Chairman, Mr Farook Kadodia, alongside Head Coach Pitso Dladla and Captain Siphamandla Ncanana, presented the Honourable MEC with a Durban City FC heritage kit as a token of appreciation.
Chairman Farook Kadodia expressed his gratitude for the continued support shown by the Honourable MEC and his cabinet during this important period for the club. “We are truly grateful for the support from the Honourable MEC and his cabinet. Moments like these inspire the team and remind us of the responsibility we carry, not just as a club, but as representatives of the province,” said Kadodia.
Durban City FC remains focused and united as preparations continue for the Nedbank Cup Final.
