Durban City FC’s Under-18 side is set to make its first-ever appearance in the Engen Knockout Challenge after learning its group-stage opponents in Wednesday’s official tournament draw.
Making their debut in one of KwaZulu-Natal’s premier youth football competitions, Durban City has been seeded in Group C alongside eThekwini Lifestyles FC and Trouble Tigers FC. The top two teams in the group will progress to the knockout stages of the tournament.
The Engen Knockout Challenge brings together some of KwaZulu-Natal’s leading academy teams over two days of competition.
The 2026 edition will kickoff on Saturday 11 July and conclude on Sunday the 12th, with the eventual champions earning the opportunity to represent the province at the prestigious Engen Champ of Champs tournament in Gauteng.
With the draw now complete, attention turns to the action on the pitch as the young Citizens prepare for their first-ever Engen Knockout campaign.
