Durban City FC return to Betway Premiership action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Mbombela Stadium to face Kruger United, with kick-off scheduled for 19h30.
The Citizens head into the encounter still searching for their first league victory of the season after collecting two points from their opening three matches.
City suffered defeat in their opening fixture before drawing twice in consecutive KZN derbies against Golden Arrows and Richards Bay, leaving them 12th on the table.
Those results have made Tuesday’s trip to Mbombela more than just another league fixture, with the Citizens now looking to make the journey count by securing their first three points of the season and moving up the table as the campaign begins to take shape.
The Citizens and Kruger United last met in the Motsepe Foundation Championship during the 2025/26 season, with Durban City coming out on top in both encounters.
City went on to win the championship and secure promotion to the Betway Premiership. The Citizens will be looking to maintain their winning record against Kruger United when the two sides meet for the first time in the Betway Premiership on Tuesday.
Kruger United have also endured a difficult start to life in the Premiership, with one draw and two defeats from their opening three matches leaving them 15th on the table.
After sharing the spoils in their last two league outings at home, the Citizens will now be looking to claim maximum points on the road.
