Durban City FC return to Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday when the Citizens host Stellenbosch FC in a Betway Premiership fixture, with kick-off scheduled for 19h30.
The Citizens head into the match after a resounding 2–0 victory over Kruger United last Tuesday, earning their first three points of the season and moving into eighth place on the Betway Premiership table.
City opened the campaign with a defeat before drawing in consecutive home fixtures and will now be looking to make it back-to-back league victories.
Tuesday’s encounter will be the third meeting between the two sides in the Betway Premiership and the first of the 2026/27 season. The previous two meetings in the 2025/26 campaign both ended in 0–0 draws, with neither side able to claim the advantage.
The Citizens will be looking to register their first victory over Stellenbosch in the Betway Premiership. Stellenbosch currently occupy 11th place after four matches, with one win, one draw and two defeats.
Their most recent outing saw them suffer a 1–0 defeat to Golden Arrows in Durban, and the Cape Winelands side now return to the city to face the Citizens at Chatsworth Stadium. City will be targeting their second league victory of the season and their first three points at home.
With Tuesday’s match also being the Citizens’ only league fixture at Chatsworth Stadium in September, the Club will be looking to make home advantage count and strengthen its position in the top eight.
